The Raffle Winners

To all of you,

On behalf of the Tanay Association of Southern California, I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the picnic last Saturday, Sept 15th 2007, in San Diego.

As usual, Laarni is to be commended for her unending financial support to the programs/activities of the association. Likewise, we appreciate Sonny Roxas and Hermie Velarde for the eight balikbayan boxes certificates handed to lucky winners at the picnic. And of course, to Mar Manalo who offered to provide the music and entertainment at no cost. Again, thanks to Ka Berta Ramos, whose Ukoy is to die for and I believe, that, people attend the picnic only because of the famous Ukoy!

Finally, thanks to Lito Inarda, Jeanette Inarda, Manny Jidaria and Lucena Sulapat for the hospitality and total accomodation. And to every Tanayan who brought not only their families, friends and relatives to spend a full day with everyone else but for the delicious food of every kind as prepared by every family.....

Cash Prizes were solicited thru raflle ticket sales of $5.00 for every 7 raffle tickets and total sales were matched by Laarni Omingo in the amount of $180.00 Total raffle ticket sales was $170.00 or a combined total of $350.00.

The other $50.00 was used to rent the generator from Home Depot to run the dj's music equipment for the day at the park.

Let us use this "Tanay Post" blogspot to communicate and be able to provide news, events, pictures and other information between Tanayans from Southern California and other stakeholders especially from our kababayans in Tanay and those who are currently working or residing in the different parts of the world.

If you are interested in providing your expertise in establishing the Tanay Post online or in whichever way, please let me know so we can start this immediately. You may now start posting pictures taken during the picnic via email so we can put them all together in one page. You can email the pictures to me directly and I will do the rest.
